This is simply a beautiful, well-maintained, comfortable boutique hotel in the fashionable West of the city, a 3 minute walk from the Noorder Market, the most famous Apple Cake in Amsterdam, and to the best shopping streets. Well-appointed room lookng out on the canal, lovely, comfortable bed, plenty of storage. Helpful staff, especially Stefan, who gave us a map and list of local restaurants on our arrival, and the menu for breakfast, which you order before 11pm, not a problem. The rooms are spotless, and full of charachter. Water in hotel is clean and drinkable, so we refilled often. The bathroom was small but luxurious and great water pressure.

Great location, nice view, friendly staff, fast response to requests. It was very close to both the Dam Square and on the opposite side the Amsterdam Central Station. It felt good to be in a local neighborhood, and in a typical Amsterdam building overlooking a canal. The breakfast was not included, but you could order it day before for €15 per person. However, they didn’t have a buffet breakfast. You ordered from a menu which had different selections for eggs, toasts and cereal. That is why we preferred to have breakfast at other local cafés and sandwich stops in the area.

The hotel is in a fantastic location in the Jordaan neighborhood, only a 15 minute walk from the central station. The front reception staff were all lovely, friendly, and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was warm with good water pressure. Surprisingly, the room was overall quiet even though it was facing out onto the canal. This even though we stayed over the weekend of King's Day! The loud music from the street party was stopped at 10pm. We were pleasantly surprised.

Staff was very friendly but unobtrusive. Always ready to serve at the bar, but not lingering. Breakfast was optional for a reasonable fee (17 euro), ordered evening prior which is very nice to have exactly what you want. Omelets made to order and croissants were superb. Comfortable, firm beds. We much appreciated having a door to a small courtyard. No seating in the courtyard, but very pleasant for fresh air and hearing the mourning doves.

This is a lovely hotel in a great location in central Amsterdam while not being so close to the red-light district with excessive noise. It's walking distance to the cental train station and many key locations. The canal is beautiful during the day and night, the property is well-maintained, the room we were in was a good size and well-appointed, and the staff was very friendly and responsive.
